Sauna and Restaurant Kiulu is located on the shore of the beautiful Lake Hankavesi in Ähtäri, Finland. We handled the projectisation of the idea as well as project management. This included everything from assessing the suitability of the plot and design to tendering contracts and project management. We also negotiated the land leases for the company that was set up. In addition, we handled the partner acquisition, funding negotiations, ensuring investment support for the ELY Centre and all matters related to setting up the company.
Spatial atmospheres
The architecture of Sauna and Restaurant Kiulu represents modern timber construction. All the views open up towards Lake Hankavesi, and the premises have stunning views of the beautiful lakeside nature. Exterior walls, black from the outside, lend a protective and sturdy shape to the building. Spacious and functional floating structures also support the versatility of the building. To contrast the dark exterior, the interior of the restaurant is full of light. The laid brick floor adds a unique touch to the restaurant’s atmosphere. In the sauna premises, warm and soft colours create a good, relaxing feeling.
